Tapestries

french flagBoris Taslitzky has made several tapestry cardboards that were woven in Aubusson by the Suzanne Goubely studio.

The tapestries can be woven in several copies and are then numbered in the weaving.

Most of these artworks from 1940-1941 and were created during his stay with his friend Jean Lurçat in Aubusson. As a refugee in his home in the "zone libre", he had temporarily become his assistant. He has made cardboards for Lurçat, Dufy and Gromaire but also in his own name. He then continued to create them at intervals until the 1980s and 1990s.
